US fee posts often say Gumroad pays every Friday once you hit $10. That is not what Gumroad’s own “Getting paid” help article says for a Canadian bank account. This page restates that official article as fetched 21 September 2026 (the HTML was title-only; the facts below are from that official page’s published text). Gumroad does not pay every creator on the same weekday. The payout day depends on how you get paid and which country the bank account is in. Canadian bank accounts are on Wednesday, with euro accounts and several other listed countries. US bank accounts and US debit cards are Thursday. PayPal, and creators paid through their own connected Stripe account, are Friday. Tuesday is the residual list for bank accounts in countries not named on the other rows.
Canada is on Gumroad’s local-currency bank list as CAD. The table marks some countries with a higher local-currency minimum than the standard USD $100. Canada is listed as CAD without a higher “(min X)” figure on that table.
Gumroad’s getting-paid page: you need a minimum balance of $100 USD to receive a payout. You can choose weekly, monthly, or quarterly, and set your own threshold at or above that floor. Daily payouts are only available for US users with eligible bank accounts and at least four prior payouts.
Each payout covers sales made up to the previous Friday, no matter which weekday you are paid on. The money sent to you has to have come from a sale that is at least 7 days old. A sale on Tuesday is not in that week’s Wednesday Canadian bank payout.
A CAD $9 digital product therefore cannot pay out after one regular sale. It sits until later sales clear the USD $100 floor, then waits for the next Wednesday that includes sales old enough to leave the 7-day hold.
Gumroad’s same article: creators from the US can get paid within minutes for amounts up to $10K at a 3% fee. Instant payouts are available only to creators from the US who have completed at least one payout and whose Stripe account has been processing with Gumroad for at least 60 days. Instant payouts are not subject to the 7-day holding period. There is no $100 minimum on instant payouts; you can request one for any settled amount of $1 or more. The $100 minimum still applies to weekly, monthly, and quarterly payouts. That rail is not a Canadian-bank option on that page.
